TAKING ACTION: Name, Image, Likeness
In the Association’s continuing efforts to support college athletes, the NCAA Board of Governors voted unanimously to permit students participating in athletics the opportunity to benefit from the use of their name, image and likeness in a manner consistent with the collegiate model.
To provide clarity around some of the most serious infractions within the Association, the NCAA has developed a clear outline of specific guidelines the enforcement staff considers when determining whether to bring allegations for four serious breaches of conduct — lack of institutional control, failure to monitor, unethical conduct and head coach responsibility.
Improving grades isn’t the only role for academic advisors. They’re also mentors, friends and, when grades are posted, student-athletes’ biggest fans.
